CURATING A GENERATION
OF LUCID
FUTURE LEADERS

Welcome To HGX Tutoring!

HGX Tutoring provides mentor-style tutoring for young adults (typically aged 14-18 years) that enable them to look beyond their immediate academic goals and become more aware of more substantial issues that affect their lives.

The HGX Tutor is a young professional adult, a few years older and more experienced than the student. Tutors have recent experience dealing with the sort of issues that our target demographic are currently working through and are therefore better placed to connect with the younger person. They are chosen for being thought leaders and for the dynamic nature of their own career development and very importantly, their commitment to sustainable development of the country.

By design, the HGX Tutoring process is entirely bespoke – each tutor-student relationship is defined on a case-by-case basis through nuanced discussions involving the parents, student and HGX. We believe this is necessary to truly create a productive and mutually beneficial relationship. It is important to note that HGX does not shun the academic aspect of the young person’s life and HGX Tutors also bring their own demonstrated academic ability to the table to make for a robust and well-rounded experience.

Entering a HGX Tutoring relationship broadly involves these steps:

Our Founding Philosophy

Beyond an overarching urge to strengthen Nigeria and its future which is what the parent HGX organization represents, at the heart of everything we do at HGX Tutoring is a strong belief that all academic knowledge is only truly valuable when the application is clear and understood. The academic system is responsible for producing the vast majority of people who go on to work in industry and as such, it follows that a better prepared and sensitised set of students will lead to better performing industries and a better performing nation.

Our Vision

HGX foresees a future where all students are made aware of the real-world usefulness and aplications of all academic knowledge. We believe this to be a critical aspect of learning and that it will empower the students to become better leaders in the future.

Mission of HGX

The goal is a more intellectually lucid younger generation and HGX seeks to achieve it though meaningful interactions. These interactions are facilitated by creating environments where the best of the young professional demographic is able to “pay forward” their strengths with their mentorship.

Ahmed Oyeleke: Founder/Prime

Ahmed is an engineer by training who holds two masters degrees in mechanical and aerospace engineering from the University of Manchester.

He has a passion for education and the development of Nigeria’s future. Ahmed has found that contributing to positive influences on the younger generation is a fantastic way to ensure that they are moving in the right direction.

With over seven years teaching and mentorship experience ranging from secondary to postgraduate level, Ahmed believes in a practical real-world oriented approach to teaching. Ahmed continues to tutor as Teacher Prime at HGX.

He is enthusiastic, with a strong desire to foster a cohesive and productive learning atmosphere and maximizing learning opportunities in diverse settings.

Bewaji Adeniji: Human Resources

Bewaji is a young professional with over five years’ experience in dealing with people. She has worked in different industries that gave her the real life knowledge of human relations in sectors including construction, advertising, information technology as well as hospitality.

Bewaji does not believe in settling for average or sticking to the norm when it comes to human resources and that forms part of her interest in being a member of the HGX team - she wants to be a part of building a better future for the country by exploring the potential to discover diamonds in the rough.

Bewaji is also an excellent cook and lover of the creatives and the discipline along with innovation required in coming up with new meals and constructing words of poetry has helped greatly with her ability to handle humans.

Aderinsola Akintilo: The “Web” guy

Aderinsola is a seasoned web developer with eleven years’ worth of work experience across a plethora of industries. He has designed many websites and they are all awesome.

His interest in the development in Nigeria and belief in the future of the country allowed him to fit very easily into the HGX Team, he churned out the code for the current website design in under two hours!

You can learn more about what he's done and what he's up to HERE

PS: We insisted he use his signature "looking-to-the-left" picture.
